This is not a drill
THRIVING OUTSIDE THE UNIFORM

Cop coach teaches first responders how to healthfully integrate the difficult experiences you have every day with the rest of your lives. You are not just the job. You’re a parent, friend, co-worker, son, daughter, partner and community leader.
Cop Coach is not therapy. Like any elite athlete, coaching helps you be your best in all parts of your life, on and off the job. As you rise in the ranks of your department, we also can help you learn how to effectively manage teams, clearly communicate as a leader, and create a departmental environment of trust and respect.
What Cop Coach Is and Isn't
As a first responder, you play a critical component of a healthy society, but that means you see, hear and feel things no one else could possibly understand, from heartbreaking response calls that come too late, to changing perceptions of the police as a positive part of civil society, to the dark humor that helps first responders manage difficult but natural emotions.
Compartmentalizing those experiences, rather than processing them, can eventually lead to lapses in judgment, loss of empathy, risky behavior and struggles in your personal life.
We are not therapists. While trusted counseling is critical to processing the immediate impacts of the job, we provide tools and tactics to help you thrive outside the uniform, both on the job and at home.
